My mum believed in many ‘old wives tale...Hello Alex<br />My mum believed in many ‘old wives tales’ or superstitions and insisted if a black cat crossed your path bad luck would befall you. I think there was a way of reversing the ‘curse’ – something like walk backwards, cross your fingers, count to thirteen and chant a line from the Lords Prayer.
