Hello,

My name is Barbara, although my family call me Bob or Bobbie.

I've been married to Terry for 50 years. We lived in Hampshire (UK) for most of those years before moving first to Dorset and now to Somerset. We have a son, two granddaughters (Zoe Rose and Lilly Grace), and two grandsons (Kip and Tris). Our son and granddaughters live in Australia, one grandson lives in the UK, and the other in Poland.

I have an ongoing love affair with dogs, cats, and Koalas. My other passions are vintage children's books, postcards, vintage games and nursery china designed by Eileen Soper and Chloe Preston.

My hobbies are attending fetes, book fairs and auctions. I also enjoy visiting wildlife sanctuaries, walking, and of course, reading.

I ran March House Books for approximately twenty years, but the business closed on my retirement in July 2015. I continue to blog under the name March of Time Books, where I look forward to your visits and comments.

I blog about things that interest me, such as vintage books, postcards and ephemera, but you will also find me musing on many other topics. I accept guest posts from time to time. If you have something you would like to share, please email me using the link on the right-hand side of my blog. I prefer posts about childhood, vintage books, nature, and so on, but I also include other items, such as new books. If you would like to contribute something, don't hesitate to get in touch. I will give you a yes or no as quickly as I can, but please check with me before emailing the post.
