A big thank you to Donna at Believe in Yourself for giving my blog the Sunshine Award. Thank you very much Donna, I really appreciate it. I would love for everyone to visit Donna’s blog at dmyatesmusings. I will be passing the award along to ten other bloggers, so if you get the time, please visit their blogs too.
Now I just have to answer ten questions and select ten blogs.
1. Favourite colour? Turquoise because it makes me think of the sea and summer holidays.
2. Animal? Dogs. They are such loyal and loving creatures.
3. Number? Eight has always been lucky for me.
4. Non-alcoholic drink? Tea preferable with scones, jam and cream!
5. Facebook or Twitter? Twitter, Facebook frightens the life out of me.
6. My passion: Vintage books
7. Getting or giving presents: Both!
8. Pattern:
9. Day of the week: Saturday because I usually visit a book fair or flea market.
10. Flower: I like so many! Spring, snowdrops. Summer, daisies. Autumn, Chrysanthemum. Winter, Hellebores (Christmas rose), although mine usually flower in the spring!
Donna’s questions were quick and easy so I would like to pass them on to;

Thanks Barbara! I'll do my answers some time this weekend. Scones with jam and cream sound so good right about now and paisley is also one of my favourite patterns :)
ReplyDeleteHello Megan, I’ll be over to take a look next week. I remember you had a pretty paisley scarf on your blog, so I guessed you liked it too.
ReplyDeleteWhen Terry and I first got married we had purple and green paisley wallpaper in the sitting room. It was fashionable at the time but looking back at the ‘photos I have no idea how we lived with it!
I loved reading a little bit more about you. I love flowers, too- so it was nice to read your list. Your Saturdays sound so pleasant and turquoise is just beautiful. Makes me think of the beach. I look forward to checking out the other blogs that you nominated. :) Thanks! :
ReplyDeleteThese kinds awards allow your readers to know a bit more about you. Very lovely. Of course, I could have answered the question about your passion. It's quite obvious. And what a wonderful passion it is, too!
ReplyDeleteAhh. I loved reading all of your answers. How fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara - always enjoy reading your answers!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know as well that my little sunbeam is shining on your blog this week. Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you Sharon, I’m basking in sunshine today!
ReplyDeleteHello Stephanie, thanks for calling in and leaving a comment. I’m glad you enjoyed reading my answers. Turquoise always reminds me of a perfect day in Fiji. Our son was married there. It was the most beautiful beach, white sand and turquoise water. I'm rather hoping they decide to have a wedding blessing in a few years. The same spot would be lovely!
ReplyDeleteHello Lee, I spent half my life working in offices dealing with client's accounts; little did I know I was working with the ‘wrong’ kind of books. Having found my real passion, I’ve never looked back. Thank you for your kind words!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, I had fun answering them, thanks again for the award.
ReplyDeleteYou deserve this sunshine award as your posts are always sunshiney! Nice to learn more about you too. I will check out the other blogs you listed.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because all of that sort of pattern is coming back in fashion with a vengeance! There's floral everywhere but I'm not complaining because I love it! Hope you're having fun exploring the flea markets this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteDarlene, it’s not difficult to be sunny when surrounded by so many beautiful books. Thanks so much for calling in and leaving a comment.
ReplyDeleteI am, but just want the rain to hold off on Sunday as there is a big outdoor market. I hope you are having a lovely Easter.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sunshine, and the award nomination! I love the blue-and-greenness of the sea, too. The flowers you mention just sound so romantic & beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHello Claudine you really deserve the Sunshine award, because you blog is always sunny and welcoming. I hope you enjoy answering the questions.
