Book of the Week - BB's Fairy Book Meeting Hill


This week we are featuring a super copy of BB's Fairy Book - Meeting Hill complete with the scarce variant white and blue dust wrapper.A collection of magical fairy-tales including the little grey men, Uncle Hans, up the Glydebrook, the donkey man, the gentleman in the wig, in Saint Leonard's forest, and pierce the trapper. Beautifully illustrated by D. J Watkins-Pitchford.

    We too have a copy with this unusual dustwrapper - which is the true 1st edition, this one or the more common one? Heather - Peakirk Books

    I assumed this was the true first but if anyone knows different please let me know. I've listed it as a first as I assumed it was but would happily change the listing if it is incorrect. Best wishes, Barbara

    Just received some information from Roger at Aucott & Thomas -
    There is no order of precedence and so long as the book says published 1948 on the title page (this one does) then it is a first edition.
