what beautiful drawings!! My younger daughter (7) LOVES fairies!!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. How I would love to collect these books and postcards you show.
ReplyDeleteThere is something about them that captures the imagination of lots of little (and big) girls.
ReplyDeleteI began collecting books and postcards several years ago and then found I was running out of space (and cash) so decided to sell a few things from my collection that was the beginning of March House Books.
ReplyDeleteWonderful find! I remember her artwork from a FAIRY POEMS FOR THE YOUNG READER book I had as a child. Will have to check it out online....
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love her fairies and those by Margaret Tarrant too.
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful. I love how the fairies are portrayed as caretakers.
ReplyDeleteHello Olga
ReplyDeleteI hadn't looked at them like that - but you are quite right. These are two of my favourite Flower Fairy illustrations.
Best wishes, Barbara.
