Not just a card but a card that looks like a book and pressies too...
Sent by our dear friends Nicole and Martin. You may recall me mentioning Nicole in previous posts but if not you can read about her here.
Nicole is an author/illustrator. This short video features one of her delightful books, with music composed by Martin.
The first snowflakes flutter down and over a village shines a bright star.
I'm linking with Julie over at Julie's Scrapbook.
Enjoy your cards and pressies. The little video is really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, hugs, Valerie
We certainly will. Glad you enjoyed the video. x
DeleteThat's a lovely card. I love unusual cards.
ReplyDeleteI once had a box that looked like a book which I passed onto a friend filled with chocolate! It confused my friend because she had never seen boxes like it, and she spent time looking for the title. My friend is a great reader too, so I new she would love the box. She still fills it with chocolate which she hides from her son and family when they visit.
Julie xxxx
I’ve never seen a box like that Julie, but it sounds lovely. I laughed when I read about your friend hiding her chocolates – I’ve often been tempted to do that!
DeleteHave a lovely day. xx
HaHa! Yours was the first Christmas card Barbara...
ReplyDeleteThe one you sent last September...! :).
No! No! I jest! But! Yours is the first one, with
the pussy~cat waving a bottle of booze, and playing
the drum..in 3D...! Great!
Love the video..first l've looked at on here! The
snow flakes look lovely! A little something to 'crow'
about...! :0).
I saw that card and thought of you Willie! ~smile~
DeleteIt is a beautiful video, and the book is even nicer. Nicole tells the story in pictures with no words at all.
The card is beautiful and that video---enchanting! What a talented couple they are. Your 'British' tablecloth is very cute, too. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Marcia, they are both incredibly talented, and I always look forward to seeing their latest projects.
DeleteThe background is actually wrapping paper, although I rather wish it was a tablecloth. I do have a nice one ready for Christmas. Its red and covered in Christmas trees and baubles!
Ah, wrapping paper! Your 'real' tablecloth sounds pretty, too.

DeleteShe's a wonderful illustrator.
ReplyDeleteShe certainly is.
DeleteI hang my head in shame - my cards are still sitting in the box unaddressed. I love the collage you have used here, especially the background paper. Have you read The Romance of a Christmas Card. And loved the video by Nicole. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteHello Alex, I’ve not read The Romance of a Christmas Card, but I’ve found a couple of copies for sale online, and I’m thinking of treating myself! I might have to finish the Christmas shopping first though.
DeleteThank you for your kind words about the collage and Nicole’s video.
I would be thrilled to have received that awesome card as my first of the year. Simply incredible card and very talented couple. Enjoyed the video and I can see why you like them so much.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the background and vignette you created to share that card today. It's very YOU!
The card is absolutely beautiful, and we were thrilled to bits with it. It now has pride of place on the hearth.
