A jolly Christmas to you,
A rollicking, frolicking,
Christmas Day,
With crackers to pull
and lots of play!
Claudine ended her note by saying she wished me days nourished with blooms, books & brilliant paintings. How lovely is that? Thank you so much my sweet blogging friend.
I hope the postman brings each and every one of you something your heart desires this Christmas.
These cards are making me smile because the innocence of the animals, the little children is what I LOVE THE MOST! Oh Barbara, I wish you a most HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVER! I am taking a flight out to Los Angeles tonight and will be back on-line tomorrow! Much love, Anita
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Anita. Have a safe flight and a wonderful Christmas. Love Barbara xxx
DeleteSuch a lovely collection of festive wishes.
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to amaze me how kind our fellow bloggers can be.
Hello Tracy, I’m very glad you liked them. I agree about the kindness of fellow bloggers, there are some lovely folks out there in blogland (including you!)
ReplyDeleteBarbara, of course it's okay to mention me (in such a nice light ... hehe) anytime. I'm glad you enjoyed WALK TWO MOONS and the postcard. I've just received your vintage book of poems and lovely card as well! I feel so much like a lady in Victorian times (receiving a book of poems). Have a wonderful time with your in-laws and grandsons. Don't be too stressed out with the cooking and hosting. Hope you and Terry enjoy your Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHello Claudine, now all you need is a corset and a bustle, and the scene will be set! I hope you enjoy the poems. Thank you for your Christmas wishes. I hope you have a wonderful time. Thank you for all your visits and lovely comments.
DeleteWhat beautifully illustarted postcards!
ReplyDeleteOh how I'd love to own those.
And what a sweet blogging friend you have to send you such an admirable gift.
Have a perfectly wonderful Christmas dear Barbara x
I smiled when I read your blog post earlier today because I identified with your longing to keep the scarlet necklace! That is exactly how I am about books and postcards! If I sell three or four, I think it's, then OK to keep one or two – I will never be a business woman, I’m too much of a collector for that!
DeleteThank you for your Christmas wishes, I wish the same and more for you. xx
What a sweet gift from your friend! I love the postcards, especially the little rabbit family bringing home their tree. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteHello Gayle, that’s my favourite too, but then I like anything illustrated by Molly Brett.
DeleteHave a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Thanks for calling in.
Beautiful cards. They don't make them like that anymore! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Christmas and all the best for 2014!
Thanks Nikki-ann, I hope your Christmas is everything you want it to be. I'm sure I will be visiting you before the New Year – but just in case – Happy New Year.
DeleteHere's wishing you a very happy Christmas and clear shelves after the rush for gifts.
ReplyDeleteNow wouldn’t that be something! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year.

DeleteGetting mail is one of my favorite things! I have always loved walking to the mailbox to see if there was any news from family or friends. Postcards, letters, packages- I love it all! How delightful that you received such a lovely package and message from Claudine. She is so sweet and has a way with words. I have a package to pick up at the post office tomorrow and I cannot wait!
ReplyDeleteThanks also for sharing these beautiful Christmas postcards! :)

ReplyDeleteSuch a nice gift from your blogging friend. I no longer receive more letters or packages in the mail but I remember fondly when that happened long ago, even I used to have pen pals... from Taiwan (!!).
